Pennecon Services and Maintenance is currently seeking applications from highly motivated and skilled individuals who are interested in joining our maintenance team at the Vale Processing Plant in Long Harbour, NL. Please note, this position(s) will be represented by the FFAW-UNIFOR Union.
Maintenance Technician: (Red Seal Industrial Electrician)
If you are a high-energy, results driven individual with education and experience in this area, we would like to give you an opportunity to meet with us. The primary focus of this role will be to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations to resolve various types of electrical issues/problems; perform repairs, service, and maintenance on industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls; and, support task related to the E-house equipment verification process, including but not limited to validating that bucket components such as control transformers, motors, E3 relays, VFD’s, and fuses are accurately entered and documented on an electronic database.
This position requires an individual who has a valid Interprovincial trade qualification as an Industrial Electrician, and a minimum of five (5) years’ relevant trade experience. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work well under pressure and troubleshoot equipment in a processing plant production environment to minimize equipment downtime. Interested candidates should also have excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and intermediate computer skills to meet the needs of the role.
